So if you abandon your green card, and reapply for it (let's say through your USC son over 21), do you also have to file any kind of waiver when reapplying?

thanks is advance.

Hi,
My girlfriend is a green card holder but she has been out of the USA for more than 3 years looking after our US citizen child in her home country. The reason that she did this is because it was easier as she had her mum to help her. She did not apply for a reentry permit before she left but now she would like to return to the USA.Is it possible to return? maybe travelling back with our son will make it easier? she has a new passport with no stamps so how will they know when she was in the USA last? is it on the computer?
Thanks.

I recently applied to the Navy and I find myself in the Delayed Entry Program. Too many things have happened since I joined which are the separation from my husband of 5 years total but 3 year being in the U.S. I do hold my residence card and I am trying to work on getting my marriage together so for this to happen I need to quit the military. I haven't sworn in a second time. I know that once I do I will be sent to boot camp. If I leave the DEP program right now I will get discharged. Could this affect my application for citizenship?
